Editing
We can arrange a brief evaluation of your manuscript to determine the level of editing you need, and once you’re happy with the proposal, we’ll go ahead and book your work in.
Once you’re ready to go, I will set out a timescale for your project with check-in points and an outline of what to expect. Every job is different, so this will be tailored to your book. We’ll also set up a stylesheet for you so that right from the outset, I get to know and understand your unique voice.
When your editing is complete, I will send you your manuscript to review and we’ll decide if anything further needs to be done, or whether you’ve got yourself a ready-to-publish book.
Typesetting
When your book is edited and ready to go, we can discuss typesetting. You can choose from one of my pre-designed style templates, or we can create a custom design for your book. Either way, I’ll again create an outline of what to expect from the process; I’ll lay out your book and send you a proof PDF of the print file; and when you’re happy with that, and have proofread it (or completed your proofreading with me), I’ll create your ebooks, designed to work reliably and beautifully across all major platforms.

Proofreading
As you’ll have seen elsewhere on the site, proofreading is your last quality check before publication. So we’ll go through your typeset text in careful detail, looking for errors that have slipped through (it happens to everyone!), any incorrect styles, and checking that your book is formatted consistently and correctly.
Publishing
If you’d like me to take the stress of putting together your publishing needs, then that’s not a problem. We will decide on your best self-publishing provider, gather all the information you need including pricing, keywords, and your final book files, and either take you through the process step-by-step or do it all for you. If you need help writing a blurb, purchasing ISBNs, or doing a cover design, we will arrange all of this at the appropriate stage – again, this will all be laid out for you in a personalised project timeline when we confirm your booking, so you don’t need to start panicking at the last minute!
Once your book is done and ready to go, we’ll take payment and take your book live – then congratulations, you’re the proud author of your first published book!
